Once you cross the Dainetree River the road is sealed all the way to the Cape Tribulation. This Drive is absolutely wonderful. The Beauty of the Australian Tropical rain forest at its best. The Bio Diversity is just amazing. When you get there take some time walking and exploring. This is a wonderful place.

A great example of a old fashioned coffee machine at the Mareeba Coffee Museum. Where you can find over 5000 different coffee machines. This place is definitely worth the visit. So much coffee and you can also try a variety of chocolates.
After a walk of over an hour you climb the Briddle Gap and discover this beautiful vista. Such a great experience. This is one of the major benefits of being an "Australian Landscape Photographer" the great things you can see.
If you wish to see more images of the Australian Outback or wish to purchase an image on canvas please fee free to go to my website.
One thing about visiting old towns is you have to get on you feet and walk around the town.
As an Australian landscape photographer there is nothing better that a walk around a town just to explore and see what you can photograph.
Please remember you can see more images of mine at
Man is the only creature on the planet to see things not as they are ( just a rock) but what he would like to think they are.

Yesterday I was walking in the Dandenong's (500m high hills near Melbourne and was amazed to see an Orchid in flower. Being in the middle of winter and pretty cold I was very surprised to sight this. I believe this is a Cattleya Orchid but am not sure can anyone help me with its correct Id.
“Aim for the stars, and if you miss, you may hit the moon.”
Last night would have been a good night for that, because the ‘Supermoon’ was so big over Melbourne you couldn’t have missed it. This was a cold, hard look at 9.30 pm through a 600 mm lens on a Nikon D4 camera.

One of the difficulties in being a landscape/wildlife photographer is maintaining a constant level of fitness. Why do you need to be fit you may ask? In a lot of cases you just don’t get out of the car and take the picture quite often you may need to walk canoe ski or even climb some distance. By its self this can be no easy task but with heavy camera equipment you can struggle. One good way of maintaining this fitness is cycling, yesterday I rode 140km. Apart from the obvious benefits, constant exercise helps promote a healthy and successful mind, as is reflected in www.australianphotos.com.au .
In 2012 Australinphotos.com.au photographed and drove through central Australia Crossing the mighty Simpson Desert. We then drove across Queensland to Fraser Island. This was part of a six week photographic safari.
In late 2012 by popular demand we at Austalianphotos.com.au have launched a new product range of images. This is known as the “compact” which is for all of you who don't have the space for one of our spatular images. Our pricing also matches the new size available.
